The default culture. These aren’t rules — they’re promises we make to each other about how we want to be in the field together.
We honor each person’s rhythm. No one is rushed into alignment or pressured to perform faster than their development allows. The pace of the work follows the pace of the people.
When an insight arrives, we act on it. The field rewards responsiveness to genuine creative impulse — not just scheduled deliverables.
Before acting on high-stakes beliefs, we verify. Not from distrust, but from care — making sure the ground beneath our feet is real before we build on it.
What we promise each other: We will do our best not to undermine each other’s sovereignty, not to act from hidden agendas, and not to mistake urgency for importance. We relate authentically and directly, especially when constructive reflections are necessary.
Operating Principles
Every arrangement should be understandable in one conversation. No hidden complexity, no baroque legal structures. If it can’t be explained simply, it’s not ready.
Costs, decisions, and reasoning are visible. Trust-worthy because transparent on the costs, the process, and the reasoning behind every significant choice.
Decisions are made through resonance, not majority vote. Each member can express their degree of alignment. Vetoes are respected — they signal something the field hasn’t integrated yet.
We don’t wait until something is perfect to share it. A minimal version that meets real needs is better than a perfect vision that never ships.
We are so much more capable when users can also extend what we build. Open source, open APIs, forkable by design.

Rates & Partnering
Simple, fair, and designed to reward contribution rather than extract it.
When someone within the federation brings a client or project, the standard commission is 20%. Industry standard, no negotiation overhead.
We can agree on a different setup when it is more simple. Jakob is generally open to alternatives that reduce complexity while maintaining fairness.
All technology built within EvoBioSys follows the open tech-stack principle: open source where possible, self-hostable, EU-sovereign, privacy-first.
Partnering Habits
If you need to step away from an active collaboration, communicate it clearly. A clean pause is worth more than a guilty ghost. The field will be here when you return.
Both parties agree to only take actions and make statements that have a neutral or positive impact on the other party’s business, services, products, or reputation.
Both parties are open to relate authentically and directly, especially when constructive reflections and improvements seem useful or necessary.
