We are in the transition to a new world. EvoBioSys is a living structure for aligning with and equipping ourselves for that world — through evolutionary development, regenerative practice, and sovereign technology.
The Name
Three syllables, three dimensions — each complete in itself, each part of a greater whole.
The developmental pillar. EvoPaideia for integral learning, mutual holarchic sovereignty, and the cultivation of individual and collective maturity. Growth not as accumulation, but as unfolding — stage by stage, holon by holon.
The living pillar. 9EPhR as the resource foundation, stewardship of living processes, social finance, and regenerative economics. Bio grounds the network in what is alive — ecosystems, communities, bodies, relationships.
The systems pillar. kidur as tech foundation, SilkNotes for interoperating knowledge, and sovereign infrastructure that serves life rather than extracting from it. The digital nervous system of the holonic network.
EvoBioSys — Evolving Living Systems — is not a company, not a platform, not a brand. It is a framework and growing network for people and projects that take living systems seriously. Not as metaphor, but as method. Every project is a holon: whole in itself, part of a greater whole. Together they form a holarchy — nested circles of increasing scope, where every level matters equally.
Philosophy
We are in the transition to a new world. We are aligning with and equipping ourselves for this new world.
We have a minimal version as an answer to the requests of users. We do not wait until something is perfect to publish it. Ship early, learn in the open, iterate with real feedback.
Transparency is not a policy — it is a practice. Our processes, decisions, and evolving structures are visible to anyone who cares to look. Trust is built through legibility.
We are so much more capable if we let users also extend the tool. The best systems grow through the intelligence of their participants, not just their architects.
Our values are based on how nature works: nested, interdependent, adaptive, regenerative. We study living systems not to mimic them superficially, but to internalize their patterns and let those patterns shape our structures.
We attend not just to tasks and outcomes, but to the energetic quality of the spaces in which work happens. The field shapes the fruit. Presence, coherence, and care are structural elements, not afterthoughts.
Our earliest collaborators are not users — they are co-creators. They shape the direction, stress-test the vision, and bring perspectives that a single founder cannot hold alone.
Governance
Not hierarchy, not flat — holarchy. Each holon governs itself while contributing to the coherence of the whole.
EvoBioSys is governed through a holonic structure — each project, collective, and initiative is autonomous in its own domain, yet interconnected with the others through shared principles and mutual support. Governance is currently informal and project-based, emerging through practice rather than imposed through policy.
The EvoBioSys Collective was founded on March 9, 2026 as the coordination body for shared practices, agreements, and principles across the network. It is not a controlling entity but a holding space — a holon whose purpose is to serve the coherence of all the other holons.
The SoFin Collective operates as the financial arm — stewarding social finance, regenerative economics, and the resource flows that keep the network alive. It is nested within the EvoBioSys Collective as a sub-holon with its own autonomy.
This approach draws on the holonic principle articulated by Arthur Koestler: every entity is simultaneously a whole and a part. A cell governs its own processes while contributing to the organ. An organ governs its own function while contributing to the organism. The same principle applies here — at every scale.
Founder
The steward behind EvoBioSys — building at the intersection of social science, technology, and integral development.
Jakob Possert (also Jakob Possert-Bienzle) is the founder and primary steward of EvoBioSys. Based in Vienna, Austria, he brings a background in social science combined with self-taught coding skills to the work of building sovereign, living infrastructure.
“Throughout time I have seen myself as acting in many different capacities.” Jakob’s work moves across three modes:
Others have described this aptly: “Jakob, the visionary mind” and “You see people’s gifts so clearly and seem to so effortlessly build and work towards building beautiful things from what you see and invite others to see in themselves.”
Jakob partners with hy.team, idea2spiral.com, and docs.lumeon.dev. His current primary focus is building sofin.bio — the social-finance layer for regenerative economies.
Beyond the day-to-day, Jakob is “gardening” a constellation of legacy ventures — projects designed to outlast any single lifetime: EvoBioSys, SilkNotes, kidur, EvoPaideia, SoFin, idea2.Life, FloWork.ing, and more.
The EvoBioSys ecosystem reflects Jakob’s conviction that individual sovereignty and collective coherence are not opposites but nested realities — each enabling the other. The work is developmental, iterative, and rooted in the belief that we are already capable of building the structures the future requires.
Invitation
Open to: co-founders, aligned investors, mentors who’ve navigated non-straightforward paths.
Values
Not abstract principles — living commitments that shape every decision in the network.
Digital sovereignty, personal sovereignty, European sovereignty. We build infrastructure that keeps power distributed and data close to its source. Sovereignty is the precondition for genuine participation.
Our values are based on how nature works. Living systems are our model — not as metaphor but as operational blueprint. Nested, interdependent, adaptive, regenerative.
Not just sustainable — regenerative. Every project should leave its domain richer than it found it. Regenerative studies inform how we think about economics, education, technology, and community.
Our involvement means supporting others to increase their own sovereignty. We do not create dependencies; we create conditions for autonomy. The goal is a network where every node is strong enough to stand alone.
Growth happens in stages. We honor the developmental unfolding of people and systems, drawing on integral theory and spiral dynamics to meet complexity where it is — not where we wish it to be.
Vision without execution is fantasy. We ship working tools, publish drafts, build in the open, and iterate with real people. The ideal is not the enemy of the real — it is the direction the real is moving.
