Not zero-sum. Not libertarian isolation. Not communitarian absorption.
Holarchic comes from holon (whole-part) and archic (governance): governance through nested wholes. Each circle of belonging — individual, community, region, civilization — has its own authority and rhythm, while participating in larger coordinating circles that do not command.
“Here is my best shot at the essential requirements for a (re)generative civilization: 1. Nine Essential Physical Requirements, 2. Holarchic Mutual Sovereignty, 3. Integral Theory as extension of natural sciences and big history, We-Space and sourcing.”
Mutual means this sovereignty is reciprocal. My sovereignty strengthens yours; your flourishing enables mine. This is the third way: autonomy through relationship, not instead of it.
Every scale, at once. Each complete in itself.
Individual
The capacity to act from inner authority rather than external compulsion. Without sovereign individuals, collectives become coercive.
Collective
Groups that govern themselves through consent, not command — the EvoBioSys Collective, SoFin Collective, Integrales Wien as practice grounds.
Civilizational
Multi-polar, starting from EUropa's perspective. EU-sovereign, privacy-first technology and infrastructure as one pole among many.
Not a standalone project — the logic every holon runs on.
Collective
A federation of freelancers, fair and simple rates, resonance and veto. Each member is sovereign; the collective is sovereign; both reinforce each other.
EvoPaideia
Developmental education is sovereignty education — cultivating the inner capacities sovereignty requires.
SoFin
Financial sovereignty — not dependence on a fund, but the capacity to resource oneself and one's community.
kidur
Technological sovereignty — EU-sovereign, privacy-first, open-source infrastructure as lived, not just stated, reality.
Developmental hothouses, not withdrawal.
The long-term expression of MHS: spaces, physical and digital, where sovereign individuals gather, co-create, and amplify each other's gifts. Not utopian communities that withdraw from the world — hothouses that engage with it more fully.
The practice includes EUropean affluent entrepreneurs with heart, clearing language, we-space practices, and the ongoing experiment of living mutual holarchic sovereignty in everyday relationships. No venue, format, or pilot exists yet — this remains vision-stage.
Idea, deliberately. Its life is measured by adoption, not by shipping.
Already real
- Live holon page — the three-dimension framework, connected-holons map, and Flourishing Fields vision fully published.
- Confirmed influence on the Wondermachine — MHS is the direct design reason the Wondermachine LLM stack exists.
Honestly missing
- No dedicated planning workspace exists beyond the public page and Jakob's own notes.
- No Flourishing Fields pilot — no venue, format, or participant list yet.
- No economic engine — and it shouldn't have one. MHS is a substrate other holons run on, not a holon competing for revenue alongside them.
